How to Prepare for your Session
1. Choose your outfits to wear during your session and lay them out so they are ready to go days before your session. Make sure they are clean and wrinkle-free. This way you are not rushing to find something.
2. If your wearing any accessories make sure to have them layed out and ready as well. Make sure you are matching socks/tights, and shoes for your outfit.
4. The key is to coordinate your colors rather than match them. Mixing up tones, colors, textures, etc. Stay away from logos or wording on your clothing, they distract from the images. The most important one is to be comfortable in what you're wearing. If you are uncomfortable in your clothes it will show, make sure to wear something that makes you feel great!
5. Don’t drastically change your hair from your normal style in case you don’t like it. Take your time doing your hair and try to do natural makeup.
6. Make sure to shave the day before and ensure fingernails look their best; that being trimmed and painted.
7. Get a good night’s rest the night before so you can look well rested. Make sure you stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. This will help keep your skin clear and eyes bright! If you have any acne or small bruises I offer basic retouching so I will remove these.
8. Pinterest is a great place to get inspiration for outfits and if you find a pose you like let me know and we will try it!
9. Practice with your family a nice natural smile so they are ready.
10. If you have any special requests or ideas for your session, let me know.
11. This is suppose to be a fun experience. I know many of us (especially us moms) stress about family photos. Try your best to always be smiling and laughing so the kiddos can feel that energy!
